Sabatini Building and Nouvel Building: access with general admission to the Museo

The Museo Reina Sofía’s Library and Documentation Centre bring forward World Book Day to 21 April to participate in the BookCrossing initiative of other Spanish museums and cultural centres.
The initiative is about “freeing” a series of books in different public spaces, in this case in the Museo and its surrounding areas. Anyone can take these books home to, once read, repeat the action.
The publications the Library will distribute within the Museo are identified with labels and registered on the BookCrossing website. They also contain the necessary instructions to make it easier for readers to partake in this network of book exchanges, where search and discovery play a key role.
As a new initiative this year, the Library’s reception has set up a space in which book exchanges will continue during the days that follow the event.
