Inside the framework of
Las Chow Chows. Concert by Eddi Circa + Cruhda
Las Chow Chows. Concert by Eddi Circa + Cruhda

Eddi Circa and Cruhda are two voices of feminism in Madrid. In sharply contrasting tones, Cruhda evokes dark, electronic sounds, re-visiting earthly sounds from the Castilian plateau farmland for a future that invokes metamorphosis. Eddi Circa, for her part, creates non-hetero culture with her lyrics, ranging from a guitar accompaniment to the rudiments of trap and drawing from “hits” taken to get life back again.

For this concert in the Museo Reina Sofía Garden, the artists revisit some of their tracks, constructing them as reverberations of present-day violence, complexities and contradictions.

Eddi Circa has been writing guitar (indie) songs or instrumentals (trap-style). In her compositions she explores themes such as partying, love, heartbreak, friendships, and travel, rooting them in daily life and experience traversed by social criticism from a feminist perspective.

Cruhda is the musical guise of Paula Gómez de Caso, an artist from Meco (Madrid), where she has taken part in processions and pasodoble marches with the municipal band. She studied Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Madrid, where she met her first comrades with which to enter into battle politically and artistically. She has worked with bands such as Crin Aeris, Difunta Calva, Henry Michansky and Yocasta, and played at festivals that include Eufònic Festival (Sant Carles de la Rápita, 2020), Ithaka Festival (Medellín, 2019) and CANS (Madrid, 2019). In 2019, she released her first EP, Íbera Morte.
