Cerdas (Sows) depicts the problems and consequences that materialise when body worship fails. By way of a series of scenes and seemingly unconnected “re-performances”, Carlos García de la Vega, Rodrigo García Marina and Rocío Simón devise a landscape to prepare the body for an “other” that is seldom present, creating vagueness in the narcissistic relationship between another possible body and another body-subject. The artists, harnessing repetition and the theatre of the absurd, show the violence inherent in certain regulated spaces that prevent queer corporality, for instance marriage, cybersex, dance, the beauty salon and the fashion show.

Participants
Carlos García de la Vega (Málaga, 1977) is a cultural manager and musicologist who works in the sphere of cultural management from a commons and citizen laboratory perspective and is concerned with the transformation of the music rhetoric in stage and performance subject matter.
Rodrigo García Marina (Madrid, 1996) majored in Viola at the Professional Music Conservatory of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and studied Medicine and Philosophy at the same university. He also holds an MA in Cultural Theory and Critique from the Carlos IIII University in Madrid. His published work includes La caricia de las amapolas (ULPGC, 2016), winner of the Saulo Torón Poetry Award, 2015; Aureus (Bandaàparte Editores, 2017), I Irreconciliables Poetry Award; Edad (Ediciones Hiperión, 2019), I Tino Barriuso Poetry Award; El libro de los arquitectos (UNED, 2021), II Poetry Award from the Faculty of Philology; and Desear la casa (Editorial Cántico, 2021).
Rocío Simón Mora (Seville, 1997) lives in Madrid and is a writer, performer and researcher who has contributed to poetry magazines such as Caracol nocturno, Zéjel and Casapaís . She has published a number of fanzines, for instance No soy guay (2018) and Transatlántico (2021), and as a dancer she performed the contemporary dance piece Fuckbois at the 2019 fanzine festival Skisomic Fest. Her latest publications most notably include her first poetry collection entitled Contra el verano (Editorial Dieciséis, 2022).
