Intervals is a series which screens and presents recent films, illuminating the diverse and experimental state of contemporary film as an artistic medium. In this instance, the focus rests on Ta acorda ba tu el Filipinas? (Do You Remember the Philippines?), in which artist Sally Gutiérrez (Madrid, 1965) explores the traces of Spain left in the Philippines today.

Continuing with its presentation of recent films, the Intervals series will screen Risk, a documentary by Laura Poitras (1964) which explores the global surveillance network and the threat it poses to civil liberties in the 21^st century. The focal point of the film is Julian Assange (1971), the founder of WikiLeaks and one of the most controversial figures of our times.

This session inside the series Intervals, which fosters the screening and presentation of current films, focuses on Carolina Astudillo’s film Ainhoa, yo no soy esa (Ainhoa, That’s Not Me), one of the foremost documentary essays of 2018.
