Choreographer Eszter Salamon explores in depth the creative process of the piece MONUMENT 0.7: M/OTHERS (2019), made with Erzsébet Gyarmati, surveying the mother-daughter binomial from a commitment to producing intersubjective temporalities via touch and other modalities of action, perception and senses.

The interview, conducted by Isabel de Naverán after the piece was presented in the Museo in February, assembles images of the work whilst approaching multiple strands comprising its complexity: the inter-generational relationship between mother and daughter, physical contact and care as choreographic methodology, dialogue with the tenets of feminism, the affective and political dimensions of the proposal and, finally, its capacity for extrapolation towards other relationships.
Presented in a dialogue with the exhibition Defiant Muses. Delphine Seyrig and the Feminist Video Collectives in France in the 1970s and 1980s, curated by Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez and Giovanna Zapperi, and produced via a commission with the curatorial and editorial platform If I Can’t Dance I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution, from Amsterdam, MONUMENT 0.7: M/OTHERS is the seventh utterance in the series Monuments, started by Salamon in 2014. It was conceived as a long-term project spanning the plurality of formats and durations, addressing questions related to the history of dance and art.
