In this video, activist and socialist Miguel Missé and lecturer and educator Mercedes Sánchez Sáinz engage in a conversation centred around the situation of different expressions of sex-gender in schools and analyse underlying structures of violence, which frequently surface, in school institutions. The debate brings together the voices of people involved in the education project Triángulo Rosa, or Pink Triangle — a space of reflection and action regarding LGTBIQ+ activisms in school spaces. Through their experiences, perspectives and reflections, students, teachers and families also contribute to this complex and necessary discussion.     

This work is framed inside the proposals drawn up by the mediation work group from the L’Internationale project Our Many Europes, including a series of dialogues which aims to foster debate between its constituencies; namely, groups of people who work conjointly, converse, and participate in a cultural institution with their own voice. 

The project Our Many Europes is organised by the L’internationale museum confederation and co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme. L'Internationale comprises seven major European art institutions: Moderna galerija (MG+MSUM, Ljubljana, Slovenia); Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid, Spain); MACBA, Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (Spain); Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst Antwerpen (M HKA, Antwerp, Belgium); Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej w Warszawie (Warsaw, Poland), SALT (Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey) and Van Abbemuseum (VAM, Eindhoven, Netherlands), and collaborates in the project with the HDK-Valand Academy (Gothenburg, Sweden) and the National College of Art and Design (NCAD, Dublin, Ireland). Together, these institutions will present a programme with over 40 public activities (lectures, exhibitions, workshops) until May 2022.
