Carta(s). Unfinished Timelines

The Museo Reina Sofía presents a new series of publications under the title Carta(s) which seeks to broaden the editorial format of the debates that unfold in the institution and beyond. Carta(s), the result of a joint project between the Museo’s Editorial Activities and Public Activities Departments, looks to draw attention to the reverberations between initiatives driven and welcomed by the Museo’s different lines of research and artistic and critical production.

This fifth Carta(s) takes its name from Unfinished Timelines (Chile, First Laboratory of Neoliberalism), an exhibition curated by Nelly Richard that took place at the Museo Reina Sofía in 2019. The publication serves as a platform to establish a dialogue around memory and political struggle, taking the dictatorship and transition in Chile as an object of study and context in which the reflection will be located.
