L'horabaixa

Published in conjunction with the exhibition comprising the most recent work of José María Sicilia, the catalogue L’horabaixa bears the name of the Majorcan expression for “twilight”. Along with José María Sicilia’s constants, for instance the use of virgin wax as a pictorial material, the developments of a body of work entering its creative maturity are discerned via a poetic text written by Laurent Busine and a note dedicated to Pablo Palazuelo.
